A Mediator is a neutral person who is trained to help individuals who have a dispute resolve their differences and reach an agreement. Mediators can assist parties resolve issues in a divorce, custody, child support, enforcement of court orders, guardianship, and modifications, or changes, to existing orders. Through mediation, parties are able to participate in solving their own disputes and are often able to develop more constructive and creative options and solutions than may be offered to them in court.
Simone Haberstock McCartney has sixteen years experience in family law, previous experience and certification as an accountant, as well as extensive training and experience in mediating disputes concerning the family issues.
We offer a free 30-minute orientation for couples and individuals interested in mediation to learn more about the process and how mediation can help. If the parties agree to proceed during the orientation, then we also establish an agenda for the next meeting and set appointments for mediation sessions. Evening and weekend appointments are available by appointment.
